A blend of entangled senses,
Burdening the tangible.
A triple helix, undisturbed.
Slowly, ever so slowly, rupturing.
Splitting splinters. Fractured.
Still. Turmultuous turned tranquil.
A fusion of the fissure.
Intertwined once more.
A whirlpool of glistening harmony.
Awaiting impending catastrophe.
Atypical.

As the halcyon era of the sun begins to set
the crisp air heralds its departue.
The water is still.
Dappled light and autumnal hues set the stage
But the reflections steal the show.
The crystal surface holds a captured moment
a cold mirror, a sliver of time.
A thought preserved and held just so.

If you could be a bee,
what kind of bee would you be?
A short bee, a long bee,
A buzzing around the ground bee,
A worker bee, or a queen bee?
There are many types of bee to be,
But just be the one who is happy to be 'me'.

It's a simple fact and everyone knows
that human beings have 20 fingers and toes.
Being a monkey must be more fun
Because counting their tail they have 21!

The future's bright,
The future's orange,
Or is it?
Every second trickling away,
Marching one after another,
Raindrops falling from leaf to puddle,
Lost in an ocean of forgotten possibilities.
The blink of an eye,
A bird flying by,
A lightning strike,
The day turning from dusk to night,
Filling the cup of life
A whisper in a sea of sound
Listen carefully.

Now I may not be more than a humble space AI BUT where I come from we do not turn our nose up at a simple organic intelligence. No sir! For what they may lack in raw IQ, they more than make up for with heart and moxie. Yes, it's a simple, natural and organic intelligence that I look for in my pets, just the way mother nature intended.

I sprawled on the worn carpet, marveling at the vastness of the world and my own insignificance within it. My legs were tucked beneath my body, the gentle warmth of the sun caressing my back. Blinking my eyes open, I questioned the purpose of my efforts, finding little reason to bother. What was the meaning behind it all anyway? With that thought lingering, I succumbed to sleep.
I knew, as always, the creatures would eventually return. Those peculiar, towering beings whose actions could be both cruel and kind. Sensing their imminent arrival, I reluctantly lifted my head, hoping to catch a glimpse of their familiar forms. Yet, they were nowhere to be found. Instead, my gaze met with the repugnant remnants of last night's meal, left unceremoniously in the form of vomit. Disgusted by the unsavory sight before me, I sought solace in another round of slumber.
As the sun began its descent, painting the sky with hues of amber and crimson, I stirred from my unconscious state. I yearned to stretch my weary limbs within the confines of my humble surroundings, aching to break free from the limitations of this space. Then, a subtle shift in the atmosphere caught my attention, causing the entire building to silently shudder. A flickering light emerged from the depths of darkness, followed by a fleeting figure that darted past with lightning speed. In a moment of nothingness it seemed surreal and I wondered if I had witnessed it at all. Until finally that familiar form approached once more.
Compelled by curiosity, I heaved my body from its resting place and cast an inquisitive gaze around. Suddenly, an intense itchiness overcame me, demanding to be scratched with ferocity, plunging me into a momentary trance. After the irritation passed, I took a tentative step forward, only to quickly retreat. The world outside seemed overwhelming, a cacophony of sensations that threatened to engulf me. I surrendered to the embrace of sleep once more.
My tranquility was temporary as it was rudely shattered by the touch of warm, gentle skin enveloping me. In an instant, my head shot up, revealing the towering figure of the creature. It forcibly removed me from my safe-haven and lifted me into the air. With darkness now prevailing, I struggled and strained against the creature's grip, desperately striving to escape its clutches. But my efforts were futile. Against my protests, I was carried through the air before being flung to the floor. Confused and disoriented, I found myself in a new location. Sniffing the air with curiosity, I sensed that it was time to satisfy my hunger once again.

Human,
I write to you today to admonish you for your lax attendance to my needs as of late. I feel that I must remind you that an individual of my particular standing and impeccable breeding requires a certain level of care. A level of care that I have recently found to be sadly lacking.
Of particular note is your failure to maintain regulation levels in my crispy hors d'oeuvre dish; just this Monday I was able to catch a glimpse of the bottom of that very receptacle while dining. Even though I repeatedly mentioned this dire oversight to you at that time, I still feel the need to reiterate how unacceptable this experience was and also to impress on you how concerned I was, at the time, that I might perish from starvation.
I would also like to draw your attention to the recent incident in which one of the doors in the house was left closed. When you finally opened the door at my request you seemed to be taken aback that I then opted not to enter the room. I feel you misunderstood my request as it was not access to the room that I required but rather just that the door itself remains open. You see, I simply detest a closed door.
The most recent incident might have been the worst of all: this morning I used the gravel commode as I do every morning, however, when I returned an hour later I found that it still had not been freshened. Thus, I was forced to pass water on the plush three-seater latrine in the television room.
I hope this letter might serve as a wake-up call and reinvigorate you in your attendance to your duties.
Your weary master,
The Cat

Sometimes dry but always wet,
Too much and you may end up with a sore head,
Enhancing happy, enhancing sad,
Add me to food, you may be glad.
Have when you’re older but never when young,
On your birthday, with dinner, or after a hard day, you might have some.

Thick is my skin,
Suited to travel am I.
Within my mouth, my tongue is meant to stay dry.
Cursed to travel and so are my kin.
Doomed to wander until it wears my soul thin.
